I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for the way you and your team have treated me and carried out three angioplasty procedures for various vascular obstructions in my legs and abdomen over the past few years.
After the angioplasty on my left leg in 2018, I was able to walk 10 miles daily for several months, until my right leg began to deteriorate. When I could only walk less than 100 meters and was ready to see my GP, the Covid pandemic broke out, causing delays. When I was finally referred, I could only walk 30-50 meters without resting. Now, I am back to walking between 6 and 8 miles a day, and I am well on my way to reaching my 10-mile goal.
The wonderful day-care team has transformed my life twice, and I cannot thank them enough.
Each time I visited your department, I was always treated with the utmost professional care, attention, and total respect. The causes of the problems and the actions taken were always explained clearly, and all of my doubts were answered with patience. They even offered me food and drink on each occasion, which I hadn’t expected.
I clapped for the NHS during the pandemic, and now I applaud your department.
